Da Ma Cai staff got into the spirit of Christmas through its Staff-In-The-Community programme, bringing cheers and laughter to the children of Bangsa Ria Centre.
Located at Petaling Jaya, Bangsar Ria was established in 2006. It is a community initiative aimed to provide day care and training for the mentally disabled. Da Ma Cai volunteers participated in the daily morning exercise at the Centre which aims to strengthen the children’s reflexes, coordination, balance and agility. Afterwards, volunteers helped the children on their daily tasks, plays jigsaw puzzles and art craft. These activities help to develop their skills.
After a scrumptious Christmas lunch, Da Ma Cai volunteers gave out Christmas presents prepared for the children. The children were also excited as a clown came to entertain them after lunch, while having their face painted by an artist, making it a fun afternoon.
Da Ma Cai representative also presented RM5,000 vouchers to the Centre’s President, Mr. Nagappan, to purchase groceries and teaching materials for the Centre’s daily use. Mr Nagappan was grateful of Da Ma Cai’s contribution, and hoped that other corporations and companies can follow the footstep of Da Ma Cai in contributing to Bangsa Ria.
