The programme came alive with a lion dance performance by children from Ti-Ratana Lion Dance Troupe, mesmerizing percussion performance by Ti-Ratana’s 24 Seasons Drum Troupe and serenading traditional Chinese Orchestra.
Present were the Venerable Datuk K. Sri Dhammaratana, Chief High Priest of Malaysia and Founder of Persatuan Kebajikan Ti-Ratana, senior management from Da Ma Cai and 240 residents of Persatuan Kebajikan Ti-Ratana.
A vegetarian lunch was served to the guests while a God of Fortune together with Da Ma Cai senior management distributed Ang Pow to the guests and residents of Ti-Ratana.
“All of us can play a part in helping the needy. Help can be in different forms and not necessarily confined to only cash donations. Whilst companies can help with the financial support and contributions in kind, we as individuals can also do our bit by offering our skills and sharing some quality time with them,” said Mr. Andrew Ho, Senior Manager, Numbers Forecast Operations
“A simple gesture such as today where we come together with the less fortunate in an atmosphere of celebration and joy, shows the importance of sharing and caring for one another.”
Similar events like this will be held at the Northern and Southern Regions to give out the donations at Rumah Sejahtera Permatang Tinggi on 15 February 2017 and Johor Cheshire Home on 17 February 2017 respectively.
